The Christening of SV Happy Together

No chance

When we planned the christening, I was thinking about how I would film it. I couldn’t do it myself since I would be socializing with family and friends and hiring a camera man seemed way over the top and not our style. When Katie from Leopard (marketing manager) called to say she would be out of town and couldn’t attend she asked if she could send someone to get some clips. I didn’t know what to expect but boy did they do a great job capturing the event and almost every face in the crowd!

Happy Thanksgiving and we hope you enjoy seeing this short video of SVHT being showered with Champagne!

    Randy,
I hope that you and all of your loved ones are well.
I’ve been following your channel for some time, you and Lennie are so much fun to watch.
Thank you for all that you have shared and for your delightful personality.

I wasn’t sure where to ask this question so I thought I would ask it here.
In the future I would like to buy a Leopard 50 (yes, you are the inspiration!) however one of the thoughts that pop up in my mind is about the davit system versus the hydraulic lift for the tender.
I’m curious why someone would select one over the other & would greatly appreciate your opinion considering that it is something that you didn’t add to HappyTogether.

May your sails be filled with wind, joy, love and happiness

HI Michael, Thanks so much for your comment and so glad you are enjoying our show. We attend every Miami and Annapolis boat shows so keep that in mind if you want to meet at the Leopard display. No platform, In my opinion they are not good options on sailboats and I am quite surprised by how many manufacturers are offering them. They have a terrible well documented service problem and are breaking constantly. They add 600LBS of weight exactly where you don’t want it. And lastly if the are small waves you can’t lower it so how will you get to the dingy in an emergency. The list goes on but people love em! Randy
