“The Interview” with Randy & Lennie in Capetown

This is going to get in the way of my guitar practice

Many of you have commented over the last month that I have been playing guitar in the last few videos and they didn’t know I played. Well that is because the guitar playing is new for me. I took it up when the new boat was under construction because I had always wanted to learn, and as my working years are largely behind me I had the time for a new hobby. It has been great – other than crowding our living room with many guitars and amps and all the other stuff that comes with it. The great thing about this is I have always been passionate about music, as you know from our videos and music selection, and now I get to make some too! The only struggle is I am editing videos again which takes a tremendous amount of hours for each one and now when I am home I have to decide whether to pick up a guitar or a mouse in my sparetime. Two good decisions as neither one is a spreadsheet.

I built a boat in Africa (X3)

This video is an interview that the factory did with us when we arrived in Capetown.   When we arrived after 300 miles at sea, Lennie and I had a moment where we thought about how much time we had spent there in the last few years and the fact that we had built three South African catamarans and visited this great country three times doing so. What an experience of a lifetime. If you have followed our channel you probably know our story but here it is with a few twists. Why we upgraded and where we are going….
